Lithuania is a country of economic stability and high living standards.

A residence permit in Lithuania gives the opportunity to enter and leave the country freely, work or study, make use of the services of medical and governmental institutions, prepare visa requests for relatives, freely travel throughout the Schengen Zone and also makes it easier to receive visas from other countries such as the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia.

Lithuanian legislation provides for the possibility of a business migration and issuance of temporary residence permit for foreigners in connection with the establishment or purchase of the shares of the company on the territory of Lithuania.

Temporary residence permit is issued for 1 year and can be extended for 2 years. There is not requirement of stay in Lithuania for more than 183 days in a year for extension of the residence permit. An applicant may submit the documents for a permanent residence permit after living in Lithuania for 5 years and may apply for Lithuanian citizenship after living there for other 5 years.
